Evidence/activity/anecdote: For this standard I’ve attached an email that I wrote to one of my parents. It celebrates a piece of writing that one of my students completed. I felt that it was important to communicate this success to the parent, as this student is a VERY reluctant writer.
Impact on student’s learning: This student was able to see that there was open communication between home and school. This was important as he was new to SAS this year, and was encountering some settling in issues. This email was shared with him at home, and I noticed an increase in his confidence straight away. This not only impacted his academic skills, but also his personal.
